Nonpartisanship
TX Votes is strongly committed to nonpartisanship.
We understand that many UT faculty and staff, including University Housing and Dining, depend on us to facilitate student voter registration and turnout in a professional, unbiased way. Thus, we as an organization never endorse any candidate, party, or policy position, other than that voter turnout should be higher.
We ask that our core officers not simultaneously serve as officers in College Republicans or University Democrats and ask that all members refrain from wearing or displaying any campaign/partisan paraphernalia while representing TX Votes.
TurboVote
Texas doesn’t have online voter registration, but TurboVote is an online service that makes the whole process simpler!
If you go to http://texas.turbovote.org and fill in some basic information about yourself, you can download and print a pre-filled voter registration form. Then, all you have to do is sign the bottom and mail it back to your county’s election clerk.
